Editor’s note
It's been a little while since I've written an editors note, so hello again, and a big welcome to all the new readers!
For those who've just joined, the point of this publication is simple: to help keep us connected as a community. Think the kind of news you'd yell over the back fence and events you can actually walk to… three-year-old sit-down protests on the footpath notwithstanding (well maybe that’s a bit ambitious).
What I can say with confidence is that the Troll genuinely loves hearing from you. Hit reply to this email anytime OR did you know we have a hidden mailbox? Readers of all ages can post a drawing or a note. This week the troll was thrilled to have a buddy stop-by and leave this gem… thanks @snorecery! (see her art here)

hej = hi, du är = you are, så stor och grön = so big and green, från = from, trollgubbe = fellow grumpy/wise troll
If you or your family would like to post your own note, drawing or creation... you can find the location here.
Village News
Easter fever hits the Village
There's plenty on to keep the little ones busy around the Village this weekend. A few shout outs include, Meli who has put together a Easter display in their courtyard with eggs for the kids. The Empire Hotel is also hosting an egg hunt, with an 8kg chocolate egg up for grabs on Sat night. (Meli IG and Empire Hotel IG)
Residents frustrated by Ausgrid tree pruning
A local raised concerns about the extent of tree pruning carried out by Ausgrid in the area, with photos shared online showing heavily cut back street trees. Whilst the post acknowledges the need for regular tree pruning, the pruning does look like its been taken a touch too far. (Annandale 2038 FB Group)
Annandale is thirsty for an Ale
The results are in from last week’s poll and it looks like the Dale is thirsty for an Ale! An overwhelming majority said they'd drink or try an Annandale Ale, and some non-beer drinking readers have said they'd pick one up for friends and family. I have included some of the witty responses in this weeks letters. (link)

BEN’S WRAP sponsored by Ben Southwell ,
Easter has arrived, and the sunshine has been a welcome constant this week. On the ground, many buyers have taken the view to pause, reset and recalibrate. It’s a familiar response, when uncertainty creeps in, activity slows as people take stock.
From experience across multiple cycles, that hesitation is often short lived. In a location like Annandale, where supply rarely meets demand, the fundamentals tend to hold. If you’re both buying and selling in the same market, timing becomes less about waiting and more about securing the right opportunity when it presents.
Whatever you’re up to this weekend, we hope it’s filled with great moments with family and friends. Wishing everyone a safe and happy Easter break.
