Annandale café named among Sydney’s best

Cherry Moon General Store on Nelson Street has been listed by Time Out as one of Sydney’s 55 best cafés. The wood-fired bakery and café is known for its breads, seasonal produce, and relaxed community feel. (link)

Council forum to focus on Annandale projects

Inner West Council will hold its next Local Matters Forum at the Annandale Community Centre on Tuesday 21 October 2025, giving locals a chance to hear updates on nearby projects and raise issues directly with councillors and staff. Topics include the Annandale Community Centre upgrade and planned improvements to Hinsby Park. (link)

$900m Village plan just across the road

A $900 million proposal to redevelop the former Cyprus Club site in Stanmore would create around 500 apartments above shops and cafés. The 9,140-square-metre site sits just across from Annandale and is under review by the NSW Government’s Housing Delivery Authority as a state-significant project. (link)

Spring life in full swing at Whites Creek

A neighbour has shared a cheerful sight from Whites Creek, a turtle paddling along happily after recent works on the waterway had some locals worried., There is company though, an eel was spotted, sparking debate about whether it’s a welcome guest or an opportunistic snacker eyeing off the season’s froglets.
